Purpose and data

Mesto Backup is used by its owner for backup operations. It processes archives of selected files and databases, archive names, the destination Google Drive folder ID, and OAuth tokens needed for uploads. Archive contents depend on the backup configuration and may include personal data and service configuration.

Google Drive permission

The application requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive scope. This permission technically allows viewing, downloading, creating, modifying, and deleting Google Drive files accessible to the connected account. It is not limited to the backup folder or files created by the application.

The current backup function uses this access to upload archives to the folder designated by the owner.

Storage and sharing

Connection settings and the refresh token are stored on the owner's server. Archives are transferred to Google Drive over HTTPS; local copies depend on the backup configuration. Google processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. Google data is not used for advertising, sold, or shared for training artificial intelligence models.

Retention and deletion

The owner manages retention and deletes archives from Google Drive and the server. Application access can be revoked in the Google Account connections settings. Revoking access stops further access but does not automatically delete existing archives or server settings.

This website

This website has no registration forms, advertising trackers, or added analytics. The hosting provider may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and maintain security.
